OLEOTOURISM IN TOLEDO
Visit our centuries-old family olive grove, surrounded by vineyards and fields of cereals. Our tour consists of:
1. A walk through the grove
Would you like to find out more about the world of olives? Enjoy a stroll through our centuries-old olive grove, where we’ll show you what olive trees look like, explain how they came to the Iberian peninsula, and describe their important role throughout history.
You’ll have the chance not only to visit an organic olive grove but also to learn about the work we do throughout the year to produce high-quality extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), with a particular focus on our chosen variety: Cornicabra.
2. A tasting course
The ideal way to learn to distinguish between different grades of olive oil and to understand why each is produced.
You’ll have the opportunity to taste various samples, and we’ll answer questions such as:
Why are some oils spicier or more bitter than others?
What information should I look for on the label?
Does the colour matter?
What does the acidity mean?
3a. Tapa + glass of wine
After the stroll and tasting course, take a break and enjoy a tapa of mature Manchego cheese. The cheese is produced at a family farm from their own sheep’s milk and is served with bread, olive oil and tomato.
The tapa is accompanied by a glass of wine from a local winery.
3b. Tasting menu
After a stroll through the olive grove and the tasting course, you’ll enjoy a fantastic tasting menu consisting of six plates of local farmhouse produce from the Toledo region, such as partridge pâté, tapenade, pumpkin morcilla (black pudding) and a special dessert paired with our olive oil.
The food is served with a wine from the local region.

After restoring our small family farm and converting its centuries-old olive groves to organic farming with a view to restoring biodiversity and protecting the environment, we began producing our own organic, early-harvest, extra virgin olive oil using our region’s indigenous Cornicabra olives, ensuring a fair price for farmers at source. On top of this, to accompany our work in the fields and to show you the work that goes into every bottle of oil, we offer olive grove tours (oleotourism) so that you can visit us and enjoy a few hours surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and cereals.
