Product Description
The olive grove tour with tapa in Toledo includes:
- a tour through our centuries-old olive trees
- an olive oil tasting course
- an aperitif served with a tapa
When you come to visit our olive groves, you’ll find them nestled among vineyards and fields of cereals. Here’s what we offer you on our olive grove tour:
- A walk through the grove
We’ll wander through the centuries-old olive grove, and you’ll learn what olive trees look like, how they came to the Iberian peninsula, and their importance throughout history.
You’ll learn how an organic olive grove works and about the work we do throughout the year to produce high-quality extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), with a particular focus on our local variety: Cornicabra.
- A tasting course
You’ll learn to distinguish between different grades of olive oil and understand why each of them is produced.
We’ll answer questions such as:
Why are some oils spicier or more bitter than others?
What information should I look for on the label?
Does the colour matter?
What does the acidity mean?
03. Aperitif
You’ll enjoy a tapa of mature Manchego sheep’s cheese, served with bread, olive oil and tomato as well as wine from the local region.
Let us know if you’re vegetarian or have any food allergies – we’ll be happy to adapt the tapa to your requirements. This is an opportunity to ask us any questions you have about the world of the olive grove or about olive oil in general. We can also help you plan your onward journey in the Toledo region.
